ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
We believe that web content should be accessible
to all; whether a user is able-bodied or not. In response we apply
W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines to all our web products in a way
that offers real benefits for the partially sighted and physically
disabled, without compromising the experience of other users. We
also apply HTML 4/XHTML 1.0 and standards for metadata which help
ensure cross-browser/platform compatibility and may also improve
the experience of the visually and physically impaired.
Our commitment and skills in this area are illustrated
by UKOLN
selecting one of our recent products as an exemplar of accessible
Web content (this site was developed for The Media Trust and is
included on this CD).
We do sometimes use techniques that are considered
to be bad practice from the perspective of accessibility or usability,
but ONLY if our clients specify those practices and ONLY after we
have highlighted the problems their use may generate for some (or
all) users. |
